Andrew Nurnberg Associates has made two new appointments to "support the continued strong growth" of business in Russia: Doug Wallace and Anna Vasilyeva.
Wallace, fluent in Russian, is to be c.e.o. of the agency's Russia operations, based between London and Moscow, contributing both to the success of the team on the ground and its place in our broader international strategy. His former roles include marketing director of Metro Media and creative director of the British Council’s UK-Russia Year of Language and Literature 2016. He recently launched a new trade imprint of translated fiction at the American University of Cairo Press.
Wallace said: "I am very much looking forward to exploiting untapped opportunities in the Russian markets, dividing my time between London and Moscow, connecting the offices in a way that will deliver optimum service to our clients.
Vasilyeva has joined the current team as an agent, bringing with her experience of working in UK publishers, most recently as foreign rights assistant at HarperCollins, and an MA in Publishing from UCL.
