David Walliams has narrated the audiobook of The Curse of the School Rabbit (HarperCollins), written and illustrated by Judith Kerr.
Completed just before Kerr's death in May aged 95, the book is described by the publisher as “a hilarious and touching new storybook for young readers, exquisitely illustrated in black and white”.
The title is published in hardback, CD and download audio today (Thursday 11th July), by HarperCollins Children’s Books.
“Narrated with the warmth and wit that is present in every Judith Kerr book, David Walliams brings this laugh-out-loud story to life in this wonderful audio edition,” HarperCollins said.
Walliams, who is also published by HarperCollins, said of the recording: “It was a complete delight to be asked to narrate Judith’s final book.
“It is full of her trademark sense of humour, her sense of warmth and of course her brilliant illustrations… It is charming and could only have come from Judith’s imagination. I am so pleased that I could narrate this story for her.”
