The Wandsworth branch of Waterstones reopened its doors to customers at the weekend after six months of refurbishment work.
The two-floor store, based at the Southside Shopping Centre, temporarily closed on 23rd December and finally reopened on Saturday 19th June.
A Waterstones spokesperson said: "The location within Wandsworth’s popular Southside Shopping Centre remains the same but the shop’s redesign has created a modern open trading space that is easier to navigate and creates a vibrant and welcoming environment for customers. The book and gift selection has been carefully curated to reflect the shop’s market, including a wonderful children’s section.
"Our Wandsworth bookshop will be once again a great destination for local readers, and the seven-strong bookselling team under the leadership of bookshop manager Kate Sayer can’t wait to welcome their customers back."
Waterstones permanently shut branches at Milton Keynes' MK Shopping Centre, Lancaster's King Street, Hull University and Essex University in 2020. Other stores were temporarily shut owing to low footfall during the pandemic. This still remains the case for the branch at Leadenhall Market in central London.
