Waterstones announces virtual UK event with Hanks

Waterstones has announced a virtual event with Tom Hanks, the award-winning actor and author of debut novel The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece.

On Thursday 11th May 2023 at 7 p.m., Hanks will be in conversation with author and critic Erica Wagner, discussing his novel. The book, which will be published by Hutchinson Heinemann in the UK and Knopf internationally on 9th May, is about the making of a multimillion-dollar superhero action film, and the comic book that inspired it.

Each ticket includes a copy of the book’s exclusive edition, to be posted to a UK address. As part of the launch celebrations, Waterstones will also host an in-store event screening in Waterstones Tottenham Court Road in London.
