HarperCollins imprint HQ is teaming up with Borough Market and Waterstones to host a festival celebrating the “explosion” in popularity of plant-based food.
Coinciding with the publication of BOSH! by Sheffield school friends Henry Firth and Ian Theasby, the debut cookbook from the fastest-growing vegan cookery Facebook channel in the world, #BOSHFEST will be a celebration of food, cocktails and music.
The event will take place at Borough’s Market Hall in London on 19th April, the day of the book's publication, from 7pm to midnight. The £20 ticket will include samples of food and drinks from the book, short demos and talks from BOSH! and “special guests” as well as retailers, a bar and DJs. Attendees will also receive a goody bag of the book itself which retails at £20.
Firth and Theasby will simultaneously host a series of free events across their social media channels targeting their 1.5 million followers and the event organisers will work with the book's other publishers, William Morrow and HQ Australia, to "make the event truly global".
HQ signed up BOSH!’s first book in a six-figure eight-way auction, as reported in April. Firth and Theasby started the plant-based Facebook food channel to inspire people to a healthier, more ethical and sustainable lifestyle after seeing the popularity of food videos on Facebook.
Tickets are available to purchase from 5pm on 15th February from the BOSH! website.
