Waterstones is opening a second bookshop in Nottingham in time for Christmas trading.
The team behind the new shop, which will open in December in the city’s West Bridgford suburb, will run an events programme and liaise with schools and the local community to champion reading, said a spokesperson.
Luke Taylor, Waterstones head of retail and bookselling, said: “We are delighted to be opening a Waterstones in West Bridgford. The town has been crying out for a new bookshop and we are hopeful that a well-stocked and friendly shop will be a pleasing addition to a very vibrant high street. The small team of dedicated booksellers will be a mix of our very best and brightest from the sister shop in the city and a number of new team members recruited from the town.”
The retailer is also opening new branches in London and Wokingham, as announced last month.
The address of the new Nottingham shop is Waterstones, 8 Central Avenue, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5GR.
