Watkins Media is offering its first paid internship scheme starting in January 2020.
The Watkins Internships Scheme will be a six-week long programme in which participants will have the opportunity to work across all three imprints (Watkins Publishing, Repeater Books and Angry Robot Books) as well as the various departments throughout the company.
Participants will be paid the London Living Wage and do not require a university degree or previous publishing experience.
According Watkins Media, candidates “from all over the UK” are encouraged to apply.
Etan Ilfeld, the owner of Watkins Media Limited, said: “We're excited to have the opportunity to enable people from all backgrounds and all parts of the country to gain valuable experience and insight into the publishing industry. We see this as a win-win. A well paid intensive six weeks can both be transformational and provide Watkins Media with a diverse and creative applicant pool.”
Applications are to be submitted by 13th December 2019 with the first formal placemen set to begin the week commencing 27th January 2020.
