Watkins Publishing, an imprint of Watkins Media, has unveiled its new logo, which sees the crescent moon and ibis replace the “w” in the Watkins logo.
Vicky Hartley, deputy managing director of Watkins Media, said both are symbols of Thoth, the Egyptian god of learning and writing: “Historically, Thoth was the logo for all elements of the Watkins brand, so the new logo honours Watkins’ history while appealing to a new generation of mind-body-spirit and wellbeing readers.”
The logo was designed by Kate Cromwell, and succeed the previous logo across Watkins Publishing’s social media platforms and website on 3rd December. It will be seen on all new titles from April 2023 onward, including Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, holistic life coach and founder of Buswellness Dianne Buswell’s forthcoming wellbeing book, Move Yourself Happy (March 2023).
Watkins Media distributes its own books in the UK. Its books are distributed in the US and Canada by Penguin Random House Publisher Services.
