Saga author Pam Weaver is returning to HarperCollins imprint Avon, from Pan Macmillan, in a three-novel deal.
Avon publishing director Helen Huthwaite negotiated world rights in all languages from Juliet Burton at the Juliet Burton Literary Agency. The first book, Goodnight Sweetheart, will publish in May 2020.
Weaver’s debut, There’s Always Tomorrow, was published by Avon back in 2011. Her most recent book, Sing Them Home (Pan), was published in 2018.
She said: “Christmas came early for me this year when I re-joined the lovely team at Avon. I have so enjoyed touching base with "old" friends and meeting new ones. My book, Goodnight Sweetheart comes out in May 2020, a book with just a hint of my own life story, and it's fantastic to be back under the Avon cover again.’"
Huthwaite added: “It is the greatest pleasure to see Pam return to the Avon list for three more books. Not only is she a much-loved author here at HarperCollins, she is of course beloved among her many fans too, and it’s a huge privilege to be able to publish Goodnight Sweetheart in 2020—a book that I believe is Pam’s most ambitious yet. With love, drama and a sweeping historical storyline to whet readers’ appetites, I have no doubt that this new book will be one of the most memorable reads in the saga market for the year ahead.”
