Wildfire Books has celebrated the publication of Harriet Tyce’s new thriller It Ends at Midnight with a series of projections around Edinburgh, where the book is set.
Masterminded by Headline head of campaigns Joe Yule, the book’s title was projected onto a number of buildings across Edinburgh on 13th April, including the Tron pub and the clock tower of Balmoral Hotel, the result of the latter mirroring the dramatic cover of the book.
It Ends at Midnight, described by Sarah Pinborough, author of Behind Her Eyes (HarperCollins) as “a blisteringly brilliant read”, is set in Edinburgh on New Year’s Eve.
The synopsis reads: “The stage is set for a lavish party in one of Edinburgh’s best postcodes. It’s a moment for old friends to set the past to rights—and move on,” the publisher synopsis reads.
“The night sky is alive with fireworks and the champagne is flowing. But the celebration fails to materialise, because someone at this party is going to die tonight. Midnight approaches and the countdown begins—but it seems one of the guests doesn’t want a resolution. They want revenge.”
Across her career Tyce has sold 226,920 books for £1.02m through Nielsen BookScan in total, excluding lockdown weeks, with her bestseller Blood Orange (Wildfire) having sold 157,422 copies in paperback to date.
Tyce wrote on Twitter that the projections have “blown my mind”.
