Natasha Williams has moved from HarperCollins to Kobo to become its new merchandiser for the UK and Ireland.
Previously digital sales manager at HarperCollins, Williams replaces Isobel Akenhead in the role who moved to Bookouture in July to becomes an associate publisher.
Williams started her publishing career six years ago working for the Non Trade Enterprise division at HarperCollins, moving within the sales team to become a digital sales manager in 2013. She has worked across all HarperCollins divisions to promote reads to diverse clients including well-known high street brands as well as multi-national libraries and subscription services.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Kobo and to be at the helm of an account I have enjoyed working alongside for several years,” Williams said. “Although I will be sad to say goodbye to a lot of my regular contacts at HarperCollins and beyond, I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with many more people across the publishing industry and getting to work with all of the fantastic content I’ve seen during my career, as well as the exciting new books to come.”
Williams' role will be to maintain solid relationships with English-language publishers, manage merchandising, coordinate promotional offers and present thoughtful curation.
