Bounce trade marketing manager Graeme Williams is leaving the company to set up his own venture.
Williams has worked at Bounce for three years, co-ordinating and advising on marketing strategy for over 40 independent children’s publishers. He also built Bounce’s new web platform for booksellers and its e-newsletter strategy.
He previously worked at Orion, running campaigns for bestselling authors including Harlan Coben, Erica James, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Steve Cavanagh and Keith Richards. Williams is also an author whose debut novel The End of the Line was released as an e-book by Canelo in July.
His new business, Graeme Williams Marketing, will offer support for campaign and project management across fiction and non-fiction, plus marketing consultancy, social media strategy and copywriting. He will also work directly with authors to prepare manuscripts for agent submissions, website design and offline campaigns.
Williams said: “With a debut novel out and a second on the way, and Bounce’s marketing strategy set for future success, I’m excited to be stepping out into the wider world, meeting new people, experiencing new challenges and continuing to do what I love most: getting books into the hands of readers. This seems the right time to be striking out on my own and I can’t wait to see what happens next.”
Robert Snuggs, m.d. of Bounce Sales and Marketing, added: “Graeme leaves with the highest recommendation from us and with every best wish for success in the future.”
