Wonderbly has acquired The Book of Everyone as part of its ambition to go beyond its core children’s business and develop a broader range of personalised books for different ages.
The acquisition figure was not disclosed. The Book of Everyone will continue to operate out of its Barcelona studio.
It was founded by creative directors Jonny Biggins, Jason Bramley and Steve Hanson and “celebrates the incredible, fascinating, and hilarious things that make a person unique and amazing”. It produces a “detailed and unique” book about a person, and only requires their name and date of birth.
Asi Sharabi, c.e.o. and co-founder of Wonderbly, said: “We have always been big fans of The Book of Everyone and have shared a similar journey, launching in the same year. We were impressed by the quality of the creative ideas and clever personalisation. However it was our shared vision about the transformational power of meaningful personalisation that meant they are the right partners to help us execute our strategy to go beyond children and create deeply personalised books for all ages. I’m super excited to see The Book of Everyone launch on Wonderbly.com and the new, exciting ideas that Jonny and Jason will add to our growing portfolio.”
Biggins said: “It takes creativity and great design to capture the emotion behind an unforgettable gift. We’re excited to be joining forces with Wonderbly who share the same vision to create unique books with meaning. Having access to Wonderbly’s world-leading personalisation expertise across design, tech and manufacturing will help The Book of Everyone reach a wider audience.”
