Pippa Wright will join Orion Spring as publishing director this summer.
British Book Awards nominee Wright, who was previously rights director at Cornerstone, will report to Orion Spring publisher Amanda Harris.
Harris said: "Orion Spring has enjoyed bestselling success since its founding in 2016 but we are keen to grow our international presence and focus our efforts on publishing a greater number of books with true global appeal. We are excited to have someone with such fantastic knowledge of the industry, and its international markets, join our editorial team to help us achieve this goal. This is a very exciting moment for the imprint’s future and Pippa will bring an exciting and fresh commissioning eye to the list."
Wright, who will start her new role on 10th July, said: "I’m so grateful to Cornerstone for the opportunity to commission a few lifestyle books as a side-line, but it was impossible to resist the exciting offer to join Orion Spring and acquire books as my full-time role. Their remit of ‘books that make life brighter’ is the perfect description of the kind of titles I love to read and look forward to acquiring there. I’m thrilled to be working with their stable of amazing authors and hope to seek out voice-led British writers who can hit the international bestseller lists like global superstars Brene Brown, Michael Pollan and Elizabeth Gilbert."
