Yellow Kite has acquired a companion journal for its bestselling spiritual guide The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.
Rights for The Power of Now Journal, published in October, were acquired by Hodder director of non-fiction Rowena Webb from New World Library. Eckhart Tolle will be in the UK on publication, with a major event at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2019.
A 20th anniversary edition of the original book, first published in 1999, will be published in January 2020. Its 2001 paperback edition has sold 541,092 UK print copies for £4.19m, according to Nielsen.
Webb said: “The Power of Now is a phenomenon. It’s been wonderful to see Eckhart Tolle’s life-changing guide on how to live in the present moment reach an ever-growing number of readers. The journal is going to be its essential companion and a daily inspiration for everyone practising his message.’
Yellow Kite publisher Liz Gough added: “Eckhart Tolle is a major author for Yellow Kite and I am thrilled to add this journal to our publishing programme. His message is more relevant than ever and the journal will help make his philosophy and teachings really accessible to a wide range of people.”
