Yellow Kite has landed a cookbook by vegan chef Max La Manna focusing on cooking with plants while cutting waste.
Lauren Whelan, commissioning editor at the Hodder imprint, acquired world rights from Carly Cook at Carly Cook Publishing. More Plants, Less Waste will be published at the end of August.
La Manna has amassed more than 73,000 followers on Instagram where he challenges them to live more sustainably, turn the tide on rubbish and breathe new life into their leftovers. The book features 80 recipes alongside tips on saving money, adding value to what people already own and changing daily routines.
Whelan explained: “As the demand for vegan food in the UK continues to soar and our concern for the planet grows alongside, Max bridges the gap between the two to offer a fresh 360-degree approach that we can all benefit from. His plant-based recipes with purpose will help us feel good, eat well and waste less food and plastic. He’ll show us that small, positive, consistent changes to our habits can make a huge difference to our own health – and to our planet.”
“If you eat or care about the planet, this book is for you,” said La Manna. “I'm thrilled and beyond excited to share with you and the world my More Plants, Less Waste recipes. I believe no matter who you are, where you are or what you do, you make a difference in this world. Every small action we create makes a bigger impact. Imagine if we all made a change today. I’m looking forward to helping everyone do just that with this book.”
