Little, Brown imprint Sphere has acquired world rights for YouTuber and presenter Amelia Mandeville's debut novel.
The deal for two books was struck by Manpreet Grewal, before she moved to HQ at HarperCollins, and Mike Cook and Fleur Brooklin Smith at Above The Fray. It is being edited by Sphere Fiction junior editor Abby Parsons.
Described as a "love story with a difference", Mandeville’s debut, Every Colour of You, follows two 20-somethings with very different outlooks on life. When unfailingly optimistic Zoe meets Tristan, who suffers from depression, she makes it her mission to befriend him – but soon finds out life isn’t always that simple.
Sphere’s publisher, Cath Burke, called it "heartfelt" with "such relateable characters". "Amelia’s debut novel is full of reasons to be alive," she said.
Parsons added: "Amelia has been vlogging about her writing for years and is bringing a huge amount of energy and passion to Every Colour of You – I know her followers will be eager to get their hands on it."
Sphere will publish Every Colour of You in hardback and export-C format in November 2018, with the paperback following in spring 2019.
Mandeville has over 110,000 subscribers to the YouTube channel she shares with sister, Grace. The pair have also appeared on BBC comedy horror series "The Fear" and presented for MTV.
