Abrams announces new Questioneers title

The next book in the Questioneers series by Andrea Beaty and David Roberts will be Sofia Valdez, Future Prez, publisher Abrams Children’s Books has announced.

Sofia Valdez, Future Prez, which will be released on 5th November, US Election Day, is about a Mexican American girl who wants to turn a landfill site into a park in her town. It follows on from other titles in the series such as Rosie Revere, Engineer and Ada Twist, Scientist and the publisher has ordered a first print run of 500,000 copies.

“Since Ada Twist, Scientist’s publication in 2016, readers everywhere have been eagerly waiting for a new Questioneer. We’re thrilled that the wait is over,” said Andrew Smith, senior vice president and publisher. “Sofia Valdez, Future Prez is an inspiring story about standing up for what you believe in, even if the odds are against you.”

The Questioneers series has sold 2.5 million copies in print worldwide, according to the publisher.
