The agency Kingsford Campbell is splitting up, after Julia Kingsford and Charlie Campbell decided to separate their activities after seven years of working together.
Kingsford will continue to represent her clients, as Julia Kingsford Ltd, while maintaining her involvement in The Good Literary Agency, which she co-founded with Nikesh Shukla in 2018, as well as her consultancy work for publishers, writers and production companies. She can be found at juliakingsford.com and julia@juliakingsford.com.
Campbell will meanwhile focus solely on agenting, renaming the agency Charlie Campbell Literary Agents, and continuing to work with his authors, who include S J Bennett, Jen Campbell, Edward Brooke-Hitching, Julian Gough, Will Hill, Bella Mackie and Anthony McGowan. The agency’s website will be cclagents.com, with Charlotte Atyeo and Julia Silk as associate agents. Natalie Galustian will join them as an associate agent, coming from DHH, where she recently sold Alan Rickman’s diaries to Canongate.
Previously Kingsford was marketing director at Foyles, and she launched and ran World Book Night. Campbell spent 10 years as an agent at Ed Victor Ltd.
