Amazon Publishing has snapped up two further books from thriller writer John Marrs.
The deal follows the publication earlier this year of When You Disappeared, Marrs’ debut novel, and The Good Samaritan (both Thomas & Mercer).
The two new psychological thrillers will be published under the Thomas & Mercer imprint, with the first to be released in 2020.
World all language rights were acquired by Thomas & Mercer editor Jack Butler.
Marrs has also been published by Ebury imprint Del Rey, which acquired The One in November last year. Originally self-published under the title A Thousand Small Explosions, Del Ray published it e-book in January 2017 and in paperback in May 2017. It was later chosen as the book of the month for BBC Radio 2's Book Club.
Amazon published When You Disappeared in June while The Good Samaritan is currently available on Kindle and will be in paperback on 1st December.
Butler described Marrs as "such a talented author". He said: "His chilling, absorbing prose is always so well received by his rapidly-growing readership and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.”
London-based Marrs, who is also a freelance journalist, said: “I’m really excited to continue working with Amazon Publishing. Jack and the rest of the Thomas & Mercer team are great - really enthusiastic with a fresh, modern approach to publishing.”
Amazon Publishing launched in 2009 and its imprints include AmazonEncore, AmazonCrossing, Montlake Romance, Thomas & Mercer, and 47North.
