Angry Robot has scooped The Dead Man’s Empire, the sequel to the Kitschies award-winning The Last Blade Priest, from W P Wiles.
Commissioning editor at large Simon Spanton acquired world English language rights from Antony Topping at Greene & Heaton. The novel will be published in winter 2024.
"It has always been a great privilege to work with Will Wiles, and most recently with his alter ego, W P Wiles," said Topping. "The award-winning The Last Blade Priest pleased readers and reviewers alike and they will be thrilled with its sequel, The Dead Man’s Empire."
The Dead Man’s Empire is an "innovative, witty and rich" epic fantasy following two women who have the power to change the world.
Wiles commented: "I am very excited to be returning to — and greatly expanding — the world of The Last Blade Priest with this sequel, The Dead Man’s Empire. I cannot wait to introduce readers to new characters and to the decadent world of Imperial Miroline."
