Angry Robot snares Gibson’s new Summoner’s Circle series

Angry Robot Books has acquired a new four-book series by S T Gibson, author of A Dowry of Blood (Orbit), in a five-figure deal.

Publisher Eleanor Teasdale acquired world English language rights from Tara Gilbert of KT Literary to The Summoner’s Circle series.

Launching on 11th June 2024, the series opens with Evocation, a contemporary fantasy with fortune-telling and tarot, set in a magic-riddled Boston. The story follows alcoholic psychic David Aristarkhov who must team up with his sorcerer ex-boyfriend, Rhys—and Rhys’ astrologer wife Moira—to be saved from a family curse.

Teasdale said: “I loved A Dowry of Blood so much that when the opportunity to get to work with, and publish, the brilliant S T Gibson came up, I jumped at it. Evocation is a perfect fit for Angry Robot—an urban fantasy with romance and magic. I cannot wait for everyone to get to immerse themselves in the world of Rhys, David and Moira."
