Aria fiction editorial director Hannah Smith has acquired world English rights to two new books by romance author Mandy Baggot.
The deal was made with Tanera Simons at the Darley Anderson Literary Agency. The first title, Staying Out for the Summer, will be released in e-book in April 2021, followed by the paperback publication in June.
The synopsis reads: "For Lucie Burrows, it's time to embrace Greek life and put the past behind her! Having spent the summer of 2020 battling a global health crisis, Lucie Burrows is looking forward to a summer out of lockdown. When best friend, Gavin, finds them the perfect Greek escape Lucie finally starts to think this summer might just go without a hitch. But after a landslide puts the village into a local lockdown, Lucie is thrown together with Michalis Andino, the super sexy village doctor. It's not quite the holiday she had planned, but things could certainly be worse. As Lucie relaxes into the Greek way of life, she begins to wonder whether this lockdown might just end in a new life, a new love."
The second title in the deal, Christmas in the Hamptons, will be published in late 2021, in both paperback and e-book.
Smith said: "I am beyond excited to once again be teaming up with Mandy to bring her wonderful books to readers. Always an utter delight to work with, bringing Mandy’s fun, emotive and laugh-out-loud books to readers worldwide is always a brilliant experience."
Baggot commented: "I am absolutely thrilled to be signing two more titles with Aria Fiction. Hannah and her team's passion for my books is second to none and they have all worked incredibly hard during what has been the toughest of years. I can't wait to bring readers everywhere more of my sunshine escapes and cosy feel-good Christmas stories in 2021."
Staying Out for the Summer will be Baggot's 22nd book. She published six books with Aria in 2020: A Perfect Paris Christmas, My Greek Island Summer, One Summer in Nashville, Safe For Summer, That First French Summer and Summer by the Lake.
