Head of Zeus imprint Aria has snapped up two more novels by romance writer Mandy Baggot.
Editorial director Hannah Smith acquired world English rights from Tanera Simons at the Darley Anderson Literary Agency. The first title, My Greek Island Summer, is Baggot’s 20th novel and will be released as an e-book in April 2020, with a paperback to follow in June.
Its synopsis explains: “Becky Rose has landed her dream job house-sitting a luxury villa in Greece. Becky never expected to meet, or fall for, the enigmatic businessman Elias Mardas, when they’re stranded in Athens. So she’s happy to escape him, and her feelings, when she reaches her final stop, the beautiful island of Corfu. Until Elias arrives at her front door…”
The second book in the deal, A Perfect Paris Christmas, will publish in late 2020, in both paperback and e-book.
Baggot said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be signing two more books with Aria Fiction. The whole team are a joy to work with and really embrace everything my books stand for—love, laughs, life and happy-ever-afters. I couldn't be in a better place to be bringing my readers my 20th book in 2020.”
Aria has also signed five backlist titles from Baggot, which are being re-packaged and published throughout 2020.
Smith said: “It has been an absolute joy to work with Mandy over the past year. Mandy’s passion and enthusiasm for her characters and stories make working with her a wonderful experience. Every time one of Mandy’s manuscript’s lands on my desk, I’m sucked into a wintery wonderland or Greek paradise. I’m thrilled to be continuing to bring her fans more fabulous books.”
