Arrow lands two more Liberty store novels from Ford

Arrow has bought two books from Fiona Ford which are set in London's historic Liberty department store.

Deputy publisher Emily Griffin acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to two new titles in Fiona Ford’s Liberty Girls saga series from Kate Burke at Blake Friedmann Literary, TV and Film Agency.

Set in Liberty during the Second World War, the series follows the fortunes of a group of women working in the iconic Carnaby Street retailer.

Arrow launched Christmas at Liberty’s, the first in the saga series, in paperback and e-book in November 2018. The second title in the series, The Liberty Girls, is set to publish in May 2019 and the first title in the new deal will publish in January 2020.

Ford spent many years as a journalist writing for women’s weekly and monthly magazines. She has written two novels under the pseudonym, Fiona Harrison, for HQ and her first two sagas were acquired by Orion after a four-way auction in 2016.
