Nosy Crow will this autumn publish a book about climate change activists such as David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg.
Earth Heroes: Twenty Inspiring Stories of People Saving Our World, bought at auction, is by author Lily Dyu and illustrator Jackie Lay. It tells 20 stories about people who fight for the future of the planet and “each tale is a beacon of hope in the fight for the future of our planet”, said Nosy Crow.
Lily Dyu is represented by Joanna Moult at Skylark Literary Agency. Nosy Crow bought world rights and will publish in hardback this October in “the most environmentally responsible way possible”.
Rachel Kellehar, head of non-fiction at Nosy Crow, said: “The moment I read Lily’s proposal for Earth Heroes I knew this was a book we had to publish immediately. Each story is so heartfelt and unique, introducing readers to activists they know and many more they don’t who are achieving incredible things all over the world. This book has finally given me hope that as individuals, and by working together, we can make a difference.”
