Avon Books has snapped up a further three books from Helen Fields, author of the Perfect series.
Publishing director Helen Huthwaite struck the deal for world English language rights with Caroline Hardman at Hardman & Swainson Literary Agency. The three new books will take Helen’s publishing with Avon up to 2025 and sees her publishing in hardback for the first time. The hardback, e-book and audio of book one in the new deal are slated for publication in March 2023.
The first book in the new deal follows forensic profiler Connie Woolwine as she goes undercover as a therapist in a psychiatric ward full of the country's most dangerous psychopaths. In a race against the clock, she must figure out which patient committed the most terrible of all crimes and which member of the hospital staff was their willing accomplice.
Fields said: "I'm delighted to be continuing my journey with Avon. The support I've received from the Avon publishing team, and the wider community at HarperCollins, has been both outstanding in its professionalism and utterly joyful. It's a rare thing to be allowed to flex your creative wings whilst being challenged to always do better. I'm hoping I can do Avon proud."
Huthwaite added: "It is the greatest of pleasures to be able to tie up a deal for three more books with Helen, taking our publishing to 2025. Helen is a supremely talented author who is at the very top of her game, and I am delighted that this new deal will see her publishing in hardback for the first time, as we take her publishing to the next level. I know that Helen’s army of fans will be as excited as I am to see more books to come from her in the years ahead."
