Bedford Square Publishers has won five novels by the "TikTok bestselling" author Hannah Bonam-Young.
In a multi-book deal with Random House foreign rights director Rachel Kind, publisher Carolyn Mays bought British Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, in three previously self-published novels and two new frontlist titles by Bonam-Young. Bedford Square will publish alongside the Dell Trade Paperbacks as B-format paperback originals in February, April and June 2024, with the two new novels coming in 2025.
The synopsis for the books says: "In Next of Kin, two bickering strangers trying to foster their younger siblings team up to create a stable home, but the chemistry between them threatens to undo their plans. Next to You has two friends battling feelings for each other as they work together to renovate a school bus into a home. Out on a Limb features Win, who has spent most of her life trying to prove she doesn’t need to be coddled for her limb difference, and with some minor adjustments, has done just fine. Until a one-night stand with an incredibly charming stranger results in a pregnancy that changes everything."
Mays commented: "We love these cosy, funny, tender and touching romances that are given an edge by the diversity of the characters and depth by the very real issues that form the base of them. Hannah Bonam-Young is poised on the edge of something really big and we at Bedford Square can’t wait to be part of making that happen."
