Biteback has snapped up Finding Margaret, journalist and broadcaster Andrew Pierce’s "moving" story of the search for his birth mother.
Publisher James Stephens acquired world rights from Vicki Field at The Commercial Agency. The book will be published at the end of May and will be supported by a "major" PR and marketing campaign.
"This book is a heart-warming page turner that takes the reader on an extraordinary journey," the synopsis says. "Full of amusing and eye-catching anecdotes, at its heart lies the inspirational story of a man’s long search for his birth mother and what happened when he finally found her."
Pierce, who is a columnist, consultant editor for the Daily Mail and TV presenter, commented: “It’s been a long, extraordinary and often emotional search for my birth mother, I never thought I’d find her and certainly never thought I’d be writing a book about it. I am delighted that Biteback are publishing my story.”
