Blink Publishing has signed Love Island’s Marcel Somerville to publish Dr Marcel’s Little Book of Big Love.
The book will be a "light–hearted and informative" guide to relationships, according to Blink, which pitched it as "the perfect guide for men and women who are navigating the often overwhelming world of modern dating".
In the book, the DJ, producer and former member of Blazin' Squad - "with a heart of gold" - will take on the role of love guru, divulging reassuring advice known to have helped many a rocky relationship in the villa.
Natalie Jerome, licensing and brand director, Kings Road Publishing, acquired exclusive worldwide rights to the book, subtitled A Guide to Finding Love the Love Island Way, from Annabel Merullo and Laura McNeill at PFD.
It will publish hot on the heels of the ITV2 series' finale, which aired on Monday (24th July), due out on 24th August 2017.
Somerville said: "I've always been the one my friends would go to for romantic advice, so being able to be a guru to the nation is an exciting prospect. Dr Marcel's Little Book of Big Love is gonna share all my knowledge and all the things I learned during my Love Island experience."
Jerome said: “We couldn’t be more delighted to be publishing Marcel’s first ever book. He’s been the talk of the summer on one of the biggest shows of the year. Get ready to melt ladies.”
