Radio 1 presenters sign two more with Bloomsbury

Bloomsbury Children’s has acquired books three and four in the Kid Normal series by Radio 1 presenters Greg James and Chris Smith.

Commissioning editor Hannah Sandford bought world rights in all languages to two books from Stephanie Thwaites at Curtis Brown.

“The enormous, irresistible appeal of Kid Normal both here in the UK and worldwide is testament to Greg and Chris’s knack for writing warm, anarchic comedy adventures that feature characters we can all relate to,” said Sandford.

The third Kid Normal adventure will publish in March 2019 and a fourth book will be released 2020.

Kid Normal, the first book in the series, was published last year and achieved TCM sales of more than 60,000 as well as being on the shortlist for The British Book Awards' Audiobook of the Year. The second book, Kid Normal and the Rogue Heroes, is out on 22nd March.
