Bluebird has scooped world right to two new books from Jack Monroe, including her first volume of vegan recipes.
Publisher at the Pan Mac imprint Carole Tonkinson secured rights in a deal with Rosemary Scoular of United Agents. The first book Vegan (ish), coming on Boxing Day 2019, will be followed by an untitled book in 2020.
Vegan (ish) will be Monroe’s first all vegan cookbook, blending her personal passion for vegan cooking with her commitment to authentic, affordable and accessible cooking.
The synopsis explains: “Vegan (ish) will consist of 100 budget friendly recipes, accompanied by beautiful colour photos, for breakfast, lunch, dinner plus small bites, sweet treats and delicious drinks. There will be something for everyone whether you are a long time herbivore or just starting to dip your toe into vegan cooking.”
Tonkinson said: “Jack Monroe is a hugely creative campaigner and cook and an undeniable force for good. We’re so thrilled to see her achieve success with Tin Can Cook in so many different ways: raising awareness of food poverty, meeting a need for people cooking on a budget and reaching number one in the charts. We’re thrilled to be working with her on her next two important and heartfelt projects.”
The 2020 title will be the same black and white format as her recent Tin Can Cook (Bluebird) and its title will be announced later this year.
