Bluebird has scooped two more cookbooks in the bestselling Pinch of Nom series from Kay Featherstone and Kate Allinson.
Publisher Carole Tonkinson acquired world rights to two new cookbooks from literary agent Clare Hulton. The books will be published in December 2021 and December 2022 respectively.
In just over a year on sale, Featherstone and Allinson have earned just over £18.5m through Nielsen BookScan. The original Pinch of Nom has sold 1.2 million copies for £12.2m since its March 2019 publication and won Non-fiction Lifestyle Book of the Year at this week's British Book Awards.
The publisher said: “As with all of Kay and Kate’s publishing, these two new cookbooks will be incredibly accessible, full of delicious, healthy recipes and suitable for families and individuals alike. There will be recipes to suit everyone including their popular fakeaways, warming vegetarian dishes, quick meals for busy days and lots of tasty treats to satisfy that sweet tooth.”
Bluebird said the brand's fans would remain at the heart of the publishing process with competitions, surveys and taste testing.
The deal comes ahead of Pinch of Nom Food Planner: Everyday Light in September and the next Pinch of Nom cookbook in December.
Featherstone and Allinson said: “Working with Carole and the team at Bluebird for the past two years has been an absolute joy and we’re incredibly excited to be writing more books with them. We’re overwhelmed by the continued support our community has given us and we’re currently really looking forward to the release of our new Every Day Light Planner in September and our next recipe book in December.”
Tonkinson added: “We are thrilled and honoured to be publishing more books with Kay and Kate, the unstoppable creative team behind Pinch of Nom. Their imaginative recipes, deep and intuitive connection with their audience and their professionalism is second to none. We can’t wait to work with Kay and Kate and their agent Clare to bring even more healthy and delicious dishes to their fans and hopefully break another record or two along the way.”
