Boldwood has announced 14 more authors, bringing the total number of writers on its list to 136. All authors have been contracted on multi-book deals and will be published in every format simultaneously in all English-language territories.
Among the new authors whose books have been acquired are psychological thriller writer Claire Allan and multigenerational women’s fiction author Claudia Caroll. Publishing director Sarah Ritherdon acquired world English language rights via Marianne Gunn O’Connor in Carroll’s fiction, the first book of which will be published in March 2024. Meanwhile, editorial director Rachel Faulkner-Willcocks acquired world English language rights to Allan’s thriller, which will be published in May 2024, via Ger Nichol at the Book Bureau.
Publishing director Isobel Akenhead bought world all-languages rights to Rebecca Raisin’s series set in Paris directly from the author, and the first book will be published in July 2024. Meanwhile, Faulkner-Willcocks acquired world English language rights to Holly Hepburn’s The Baker Street Mysteries series via Jo Williamson at Antony Harwood, and the first book in the "cosy crime" series will be published in May 2024.
Editorial director Emily Yau acquired world English language rights to Victoria Walters’ romantic comedies, the first of which will be published in February 2024, via Hannah Ferguson at Hardman Swainson. In addition Faulkner-Willcocks bought world English language rights to Kate Galley’s book via Robbie Guillory at Underline, and will publish in May 2024.
Akenhead bought world all-language rights novel by Louise Guy, who writes issue-based women’s fiction, directly from the author, and will publish in February 2024.
Moreover, Faulkner-Willcocks bought world English language rights to The Butterfly Garden by Rachel Burton via Lina Langlee at the North LitAgency, and will publish the book in July 2024. World English language rights to debut novelist Rachel Sweasey’s The Last Boat Home, which will be published in April 2024, was acquired by Faulkner-Willcocks from Vicki Marsden at High Spot Literary.
Faulkner-Willcocks also acquired world all-language rights to May Ellis’ wartime series directly from the author, and will publish in March 2024. She also acquired world English language rights to Emma Orchard’s "raunchy romp set in Regency London" from agent Diana Beaumont at Marjacq, and will publish in May 2024.
Akenhead acquired world all-language rights to Natasha Boydell’s The Fortune Teller, which will be published in February 2024, directly from the author. She also bought world all-language rights to Joanne Ryan’s thriller, Keep Your Friends Close, directly from the author, and will publish in January 2024.
Completing the list, Faulkner-Willcocks bought world all-language rights to Stephanie Harte’s new series directly from the author and will publish the first title in June 2024.
