Bolinda will publish the audio edition of Homecoming, the latest novel by Kate Morton, publishing alongside Mantle’s global print editions in April 2023.
Rebecca Herrmann, founder and c.e.o. of Bolinda, acquired world English language rights from Lizzy Kremer at David Higham. The audiobook will be voiced by Emmy-award winning actor Claire Foy, known for playing Queen Elizabeth II in “The Crown”.
Blending mystery, history and an epic story that spans continents and generations, Homecoming asks what we would do for those we love, how we protect the lies we tell, and what it means to come home.
Bolinda also publishes Morton’s backlist titles including The Shifting Fog, The Forgotten Garden and The Distant Hours, which have been re-recorded with a range of celebrity narrators.
Foy said: “Narrating Homecoming has been a pleasure and I’m thrilled to have brought the words of such a revered writer to life in audio. Bolinda’s team have been brilliant to work with and I’m delighted to help this outstanding, epic story reach listeners across the world.”
Morton said: “Homecoming is a special book for me, and I’m delighted to know that characters and settings I hold dear will be brought to life in audio by one of the most talented actors working today. With Claire Foy reading, listeners can expect Bolinda’s edition to deliver on that most enticing of promises: ‘Come, let me tell you a story.’”
Ellis Moore, Bolinda’s senior rights and content manager, added: “Homecoming has been such an eagerly awaited novel from one of the best storytellers of our time, and it has been an honour to work on casting the audiobook edition for global release. Claire Foy’s voice is one that captivates the listener from the prologue and makes for an unforgettable listening experience.”
