Bookouture strikes two-book deal with Sacerdoti

Digital publisher Bookouture has snapped up two Second World War time-split novels from Daniela Sacerdoti.

Associate publisher Jessie Botterill struck a deal for world all language, audio, film and TV rights for both books with Ariella Feiner at United Agents.

The first book, Where the Mountains Kiss the Sky, will be published in October, with the second out in spring 2020. The books are both dual narrative historical novels set in Italy and inspired by incredible true stories, some from her own family history.

Sacerdoti previously wrote the Glen Avich and Seal Island series, which the publisher said had sold over one million copies in e-book to date. Her debut Watch Over Me (Black & White) was named the eight bestselling Kindle book ever in 2015.

“At some point in the last couple of years, I realised that so many of the books I downloaded and loved had one thing in common: they’d been published by Bookouture,” said Sacerdoti. “I am now honoured, and quite amazed at the serendipity, to be one of their writers.”

Botterill added: “Daniela’s energy and passion for writing is totally infectious and she always adds that extra something special for her readers. Working with her is a dream come true and I’m just so excited for what’s to come.”
