Digital imprint Bookouture has snared a "rapid-fire" trio of novels in a new crime thriller series by US author Gregg Olsen.
Publisher Claire Bord acquired world all language rights for the books from Susan Raihofer at the David Black Literary Agency. The currently untitled first book in the series, featuring detective Rylee Cassidy, will launch in November 2019 with the second book due for release in Spring 2020.
Bookouture hailed the signing as further proof of its expansion into US-focused publishing, following deals with Lisa Regan and D K Hood.
Olsen said: “I've long been intrigued by the concept of publishing a series in rapid-fire sequence. Bookouture and my protagonist Rylee Cassidy are the perfect partners to take my readers on a relentlessly thrilling journey in short order. I'm very excited to work with Claire and her team.”
Bord said: “An award-winning author, Gregg has amassed an incredible following for both his fiction and non-fiction. The thread that runs through all his work is his ability to give readers an insight into the lives of people caught in extraordinary circumstances. We are very excited to be working with Gregg on his new detective series and expanding his readership even further.”
