Bookouture has scooped two psychological thrillers from Jess Ryder.
Associate publisher Lydia Vassar-Smith acquired world English rights from Rowan Lawton at The Soho Agency. Titles and publication dates for the books have not been revealed yet.
Ryder is a Kindle bestselling author, having previously written The Ex-Wife (Bookouture), which will be released as a television drama on Paramount Plus, produced by BlackBox Multimedia, Night Train Media and Clapperboard.
Vasser-Smith commented: “It’s a true privilege to be working with Jess, who delivers thrillers with incredible pacing and nail-biting domestic dilemmas at their heart. She’s an incredible plotter who seems to know just what the reader wants. I’m thrilled to be working with her on more books.”
Ryder added: “When I first started my journey with Bookouture, I had no idea that it would work out so well or that I’d be writing as many as 10 psychological thrillers for them. Although coming up with new ideas is hard, working with Lydia is an absolute joy.”
