Bookouture has signed two high-concept psychological thrillers by Daniel Hurst, author of The Couple at Table Six and What My Family Saw (Catterall Press).
Associate publisher Natasha Harding acquired world all language rights, plus audio, film and TV rights, to the two as-yet-untitled novels directly from the author, for publication in January and March 2023.
According to the publisher, more than 350,000 copies of Hurst’s stories have been sold.
Harding said: “I’m excited to be welcoming Daniel Hurst to Bookouture. Daniel is a prolific, chart-topping author and his books have been so prominent in the bestseller charts over the past 18 months.
“I’m hugely impressed by Daniel’s brilliant concepts and shocking twists, as well as the energy he brings to his stories. I can’t wait to publish two new high-concept psychological fiction thrillers by him in 2023.”
Hurst commented: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the brilliant team at Bookouture and believe that mixing their passion for publishing with my passion for writing will surely lead to some exciting things. I can’t wait to get to work on my next psychological thriller and give the wonderful readers of this world a new and exciting story.”
