Children’s literary agency The Bright Agency has promoted Sandra Tharumalingam Willmer and hired Jenna Brown.
Tharumalingam Willmer, who has been with Bright for four years, having previously worked for publishers such as Hachette, Penguin Random House and Walker, was promoted to head of contracts and royalties.
According to the agency, the promotion reflects "her immaculate retention of rights for Bright’s authors and illustrators and excellent execution of five major new TV and film deals shortly to be announced from our media division".
Bright has meanwhile recruited Brown as contracts and royalties manager. She joins from Tate Publishing where she was international rights manager, having previously worked at Watkins Media and Bloomsbury.
Vicki Willden-Lebrecht, founder and director of the Bright Agency, commented: "Despite the continuing challenges we all currently face, Bright continues to move from strength to strength. We have seen steady growth across our divisions – and we continue to forge new connections with clients around the globe, as well as deepening existing relationships with long-standing partnerships. I am so pleased we are able to recognise the contribution Sandra has made to the agency, and welcome Jenna onboard."
