Broken Sleep Books snaps up 'vital' essay collection from Vaught

Broken Sleep Books has snapped up To Melt the Stars, an essay collection from Anna Vaught. 

Publisher Aaron Kent acquired world rights directly from the author. The collection’s title - To Melt the Stars - is a quotation from Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary. Vaught describes the collection as a "strange beast" which looks "at love at first conversation, queerness, weird wedding days, romance, motherhood, baby loss, flirtation in friendship, complicity, when love dies, the erotic and intergenerational trauma". To Melt the Stars is dedicated to Vaught’s husband and will be published around their 25th wedding anniversary in July 2024.
