Robert Bryndza is publishing a new crime fiction series with Sphere.
Amy Tannenbaum of the Jane Rotrosen Agency agreed a "major" three-book deal for UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) with Cath Burke, Sphere Fiction publisher and executive director. Sphere will launch Bryndza’s new Kate Marshall crime fiction series across all formats in late 2019.
As part of a partnership with fellow Hachette division Bookouture, Sphere began publishing Bryndza’s Erika Foster crime series in paperback at the end of 2017. Previously the author had been published in e-book alone by Bookouture.
Sphere published The Girl in the Ice in paperback in November 2017. According to Nielsen, in total he has sold 60,289 books for £314,500, with The Girl in the Ice his bestseller at 35,762 copies sold.
Bryndza said of the new series and partnership with Sphere: "I'm incredibly excited to be working with Cath Burke and the brilliant team at Sphere. To join such an amazing imprint has always been a dream of mine, and I can't wait to introduce readers to my new forensic profiler, Kate Marshall."
Burke described Bryndza's writing "utterly gripping". She added: "His storytelling leaves me breathless. Readers all over the world have the most sensational treat in store with this terrifically exciting new series."
