Canelo has snapped up a three-book deal with Suzanne Snow for her Yorkshire Dales-set romance series.
Editorial director Emily Bedford acquired world English language rights from Catherine Pellegrino at Marjacq Agency. Finding Home in Hartfell, the first book in the Hartfell series, will be published in paperback and e-book in February 2025.
"I am really thrilled that Emily and her fantastic team at Canelo will be publishing Suzanne’s funny, heart-warming new romance series, Hartfell, and can’t wait for readers to meet her wonderful cast of characters and show-stopping animals", said Pellegrino.
The story follows Pippa, daughter of "rock legend" Jonny Jones, who is tasked with sorting out her father’s house in the Yorkshire Dales. Hopes of a quick visit are dashed, however, when the grumpy local vet, Gil, will do whatever it takes to stop Pippa selling the house.
Bedford said: "Suzanne has a profound ability to write a sense of place in such a way that has you immediately searching for weekend getaways in the area – packed full of warmth and escapism, her stories are a hug and a holiday all in one, and I couldn’t be happier to continue working with her on this latest series. Combining hot vets, misunderstandings and meddling locals, Finding Home in Hartfell has everything a romance fan could want."
Snow added: "Working with Emily and the team is a huge pleasure, and I’m very much looking forward to sharing the Hartfell series with readers. Thank you to Catherine for finding such a wonderful home for Hartfell."
