Trevor Davies, publisher, acquired world all-languages rights from Nick Walters at DLA and Leon Mann at Refresh Sports Consultancy and Productions. Publication is scheduled for 23rd September 2021, with Waterstones and W H Smith to sell a signed edition via pre-order only.
Davies commented: "We are thrilled to be publishing Liv on the Cassell list. She is an inspiration to millions of young people and her commitment to her goals, her energy and sheer talent shines through in this book. The Way to Win is as dynamic, motivational and impressive as Liv herself."
Cooke said: "I’ve dedicated my life to my craft and as a result reached the very top. I won the world championships at 18 years of age, becoming the youngest in history to do so. I worked as smart as I did hard and cut no corners in my preparation. It was an unbelievable feeling to achieve my dream, but funnily enough the best thing I got from winning was not the trophy, the title nor the praise. It was who I became in the process. I learnt what it means and takes to win. I discovered that winning isn’t a single destination, but a lifestyle. It’s a transferable skill-set, which once learnt can be applied to anything.
"I’m always telling my fans that look up to me, especially the young ones, that they should aim higher than me. They can be bigger and better than me because I’m not special. I’m not naturally talented or gifted, I’m just a girl from a small town that found her passion and worked extremely hard at it. So, if I can do it then so can they. And now, with this book, I’m showing them exactly how they can do that."
