Catalyst has signed Never Enough: My Words Unfiltered from television personality and radio presenter, Pete Wicks, who was the member of the original cast of "The Only Way Is Essex".
Publisher Laura Whelan acquired world rights from Gemma Wheatley at Mokkingbird and Jo Bell at Bell Lomas Moreton for publication on 12th September.
A "no-holds-barred" account of Wicks’ life off camera, Never Enough is a "raw, honest, unfiltered" exploration of the lessons Wicks has learnt, "calling time on toxic positivity, the damaging impact of social media on our sense of self, the pressures of masculinity and the desire to remain relevant".
Whelan said: "Pete is such a multi-faceted, smart and funny character with a heart of absolute gold – and his profile over the past few years has quite rightly soared. Although fans have already got a taste of the man behind the tattoos and dogs, this brave offering will share a whole new side of him – in terms of the many difficult and personal experiences that have shaped him as a man – that he hopes, in turn, will provide some inspiration and insight for readers."
Wicks added: "Life is not always sunshine and daisies and, as you will read from the book, it certainly hasn’t always been an easy ride for me, but I’m now on the path to learning. What I do know is that sharing is caring, however hard that may be. If I can help one f*cker out with these words, that will be a job well done."
