Reverend Lee is a the vicar at St Saviour's church in London. After sharing his positivity online, he now has more Instagram followers that the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Church of England combined.
World rights were acquired by publishing director Ben Brusey from Ben Clark at The Soho Agency. Century will publish in hardback, audiobook and e-book in November 2020.
The OMG Effect: 60-Second Sermons to Live a Fuller Life builds on Reverend Lee's daily inspirational videos he shares online. The OMG Effect will be full of Lee’s uplifting messages of positivity and inclusivity, offering bite-sized wisdom to help readers refresh their outlook, reflect on their values and transform their lives.
Recently, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Reverend Lee has been live streaming prayer and faith sessions due to church closures.
Reverend Lee said: "I’ve been overwhelmed by the response to my videos on social media. I hope that this book, in its own small way, can help encourage people through these tough times and remind them that they are loved and of value."
Brusey added: "Rev. Chris’s message of kindness and positivity is just the tonic the world needs in these difficult times. I’m enormously proud to be publishing this special book, and whether you’re religious or not, I defy you not to be inspired by Rev. Chris’s uplifting and compassionate words."
