Rowan Coleman is moving to Coronet with two new “genre-busting" romances.
Coronet editorial director Melissa Cox acquired British Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Hellie Ogden at Janklow & Nesbit UK. Cox already publishes Coleman’s pseudonymous Brontë Mystery titles on the Hodder Crime list. Her most recent novel under her own name was The Girl at the Window, published by Ebury.
The first of the new books, From Now Until Forever, is scheduled to be released in 2024. It tells the story of Ben Church, a man “running out of time and trying to grab every bit of life he can”, and Vita Ambrose, “a widow trying to run down the clock.”
When they meet, the attraction is powerful and instantaneous, and their shared passion for the art and work of Leonardo da Vinci will be the thing that brings that together—but it also has the potential to split them apart. The synopsis reads: “Vita and Ben find themselves asking: is it ever too late to fall in love—even if you think that this time it will be forever?”
Cox said: “I’ve so enjoyed working with Rowan over the past few years on our Brontë Mysteries (written under the pen name Bella Ellis) that I leapt at the chance to bring her into the Coronet fold for her new fiction projects. She is unbelievably visual in her writing, a joy to edit and collaborate with, and I just know From Now Until Forever is going to break readers’ hearts.”
Coleman added: “I’m thrilled to be working with the wonderful Melissa Cox and the brilliant team at Coronet on my novel From Now Until Forever, and look forward to exciting times ahead, writing epic fiction that is full of heart and hope in this new chapter of my career.”
