Crime writer Angela Marsons has announced a surprise standalone romantic comedy, to be released by Bookouture.
Publisher Claire Bord acquired world rights in If Only directly from the author and Bookouture will publish in e-book, print-on-demand paperback and audio on 6th July this year.
Marsons is author of the Detective Kim Stone crime series, which has shifted more than 4.5 million copies in the English language alone, and been sold in 28 languages, according to Bookouture.
Bord said: “Featuring three best friends who drunkenly decided to cast a wishing spell, this is a brilliantly feel-good story about friendship and searching for happiness. It’s always great fun working with Angela on her books and this book has been no different, just less murder and mayhem! Angela has a huge audience for her crime fiction and we have plenty more books to come in the much-loved Detective Kim Stone crime series including Twisted Lies this May.”
Marsons explained: “The idea for If Only has been in my head for a while and lockdown gave me the perfect opportunity to put it down on paper and explore the stories of these characters. Luckily, my editor, Claire, loved the idea and I wouldn’t have wanted to publish it with anyone else.”
