CWA Dagger winner Chris Whitaker has signed two new books with Bonnier Zaffre, part of Bonnier Publishing.
Katherine Armstrong, editorial director, acquired World English language rights from Cathryn Summerhayes at Curtis Brown.
Whitaker, who won the John Creasey New Blood Dagger on 26th October for his debut novel, Tall Oaks.
Armstrong said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be publishing Chris for at least another two books. Anyone who has had the treat of reading either Tall Oaks or All the Wicked Girls knows that he is a writer with a lot of heart. His worlds are full of unique and mesmerising voices that remain with you long after the books are finished. I am incredibly excited to see what he does next.”
Whitaker said Bonnier Publishing had helped him blossom “from a nervous debut author into an arrogant Dagger winner, and I love each and every one of them”.
Bonnier Zaffre will publish the next book, as yet untitled, in early 2020.
