W F Howes has signed a bumper audiobook deal with Danielle Steel as it shores up its relationship with the novelist.
The agreement will see W F Howes continue to work with the iconic writer on her forthcoming new releases, starting in 2024. The company will publish her audiobooks in all global markets, excluding North America where RBmedia’s flagship content brand, Recorded Books, will publish. The deal was brokered by Steel’s UK agent, Felicity Blunt from Curtis Brown.
"I’m delighted to be working with W F Howes on my audiobooks," Steel said. "They bring a whole new dimension to my work, meeting people’s needs and preferences as to how they experience books. There is an important place for audiobooks in the literary world, and I’m excited to be sharing that with W F Howes."
Dominic White, head of publishing and commerce at the audio company, said: “Danielle Steel’s prolific writing career and her dizzying global success and popularity have rightfully earned her place as a true publishing legend. We are delighted to be working with Danielle on so many exciting future titles and expect this to continue our fruitful working relationship.”
